About the snorkeling tour to Daeng & Ya Ma Sam islands

This 6 hour tour takes you from Ao Nang beach to small islands like Koh Daeng and Koh Ya Wa Sam. These islands are not visited frequently and are close to Ao Nang beach. The perfect getaway with a short boat ride! The tour includes transfers to and from your hotel, a Thai buffet lunch and snorkeling equipment (mask & snorkel).

What to expect on this tour

The 6 hour snorkeling tour starts with a pickup from your hotel in Krabi, Ao nang or surroundings. Our driver, together with an English speaking guide, will pick you up at around 9:30 in the morning. Our destination is Ao Nang beach, where a longtail boat is ready to take you to the islands we visit during this tour.

Our first stop is Daeng island. This red (Daeng means red in Thai) rock island is surrounded by crystal clear waters with lots of coral and many fish. One species in particular: the well known Nemo fish. You can go swimming here or put on a mask and snorkel and have a look at the marine life below. To protect the coral, we don’t have flippers available. The mask and snorkel are present on the boat so you don’t have to bring your own.

The boat then leaves to Ya wa sam island. The island is surrounded by beautiful coral reefs with lots of fish. It’s also a good diving location because of the abundance of fish. But we are here for snorkeling, so grab a mask and snorkel and jump in!

We have a Thai buffet lunch at a seaside restaurant. Vegetarian options are available. When you feel rejunevated, it’s time to head to one of Krabi’s most famous beaches: Phra Nang beach. This beach is famous for the Phra Nang cave with its amazing stalagtites and stalagmites. The cave is located in a corner of the beach and if you want you can have a look inside. The beach is also a good location for swimming and snorkeling, so there is something to do for everyone.

The 6 hour tour ends with a transfer by airconditioned van back to your hotel in Krabi or Ao Nang. We aim to be back in your hotel at around 16:00. A day full of sights and memories never to forget!

One day snorkeling tour to Daeng and Yamasam island

Nice little trip. We chose this because of the absence of national park fees, which I am principally against. The boat took us to 2 islands close to our hotel in Nopparat Thara beach and snorkeling was very pleasant there. Also no loads of other boats. All in all a good but basic introduction to some of the islands around Krabi's coast.

this trip took us to 2 little islands close to where we were staying in ao nang. I prefer it over the 4 islands we did a day before as they were quite crowded. The pickup and boat ride was smooth. The snorkeling is so so, but we saw many fish and there seems to be coral left as well. Overall an enjoyable and well organized experience.
